Be the change you want to see in the world. - Gandhi

This morning my husband was talking on the phone. I looked at our son and he was holding his spoon up to the side of his face and talking into it exactly like my husband on the phone. I know it is typical toddler behavior but it was a revealing moment for me. People mirror back to us the reality of who we are. Our toddler will mimic our behavior and learn what is expected of him from watching us. Everyone around us does this to a degree. God was reminding me that not only do I have the responsibility to set a good example for my son, but I must be the salt and the light I want everyone to see in me and in themselves.
