Winter blues

The sun is shining! I have a difficult time accepting winter weather. Some people love it and make it a good excuse to wear winter boots and bright scarves. I miss the sun and find the fog and rain and cold depressing. Our noses are running, my energy level is lower. I wonder what was God thinking when he decided winter was a good idea. No master painters ever depict heaven with snow drifts. Then I think about my neighbors crops that depend on cold weather and all the animals and insects that need winter as a part of their life cycle. I don't need sunsets and rainbows everyday to know that God is there.
